Presenters: Marcus Davis, Senior Program Specialist – Teen Arts and Civic Engagement, Chicago Park District.  Marcus manages the TRACE program for CPD. TRACE stands for Teens Re-Imagining Art, Community, and Environment. Marcus’ focus will be on the “A” or Art in STEAM, and it’s relation to the TRACE program.

Jaclyn Carmichael, STEAM Educator, has worked as Program Director for Project Exploration.  She will speak on STEAM and some strategies to get students engaged relating her experience and training from SciGirls. SciGirls is a broad national outreach effort to encourage educators, both formal and informal, to adopt new, research-based strategies to engage girls in STEM.

 

Upcoming Education/Next Generation of Conservation Leaders/Leave No Child Inside committee meetings will be held on September 12, and November 14, 2018.
