Spring, summer, and fall fruiting...and all are edible! But which of these is not like the others?

Well if that hasn’t peaked your interest, perhaps the 500 or so other native trees recently planted at the West Ridge Nature Preserve will get you to come out and engage with the flora, fauna, and others with deep roots.

This unique event will showcase two integral organizations responsible for advancing the greening movement to new heights. Regional Forester Daniella Pereira of Openlands, and Executive Director April Toney of the Illinois Arborist Association will be speaking about the missions of each of their respective organizations and how TreeKeepers and municipal foresters and arborists can advance the common interest of trees and nature.

Join us as we rediscover various trees typical of the native landscape, and network with Openlands and the Illinois Arborist Association.

Topics Covered: TreeKeepers Chapters, Arborist Certification, Systematic Diversification, Species Identification
