On Saturday July 11, from 12-3pm, Liza Fischel, Jessy Zich and Sean Shaffer will be running a monarch butterfly program at North Park Village Nature Center, 5801 N. Pulaski.

The program will cover the life cycle of the monarch, the threats it faces today and how we can help.  The Monarch is a perfect symbol and ambassador to the natural world, as valuable culturally as it is ecologically.

They will train attendees on how to locate milkweed, eggs and caterpillars and successfully raise them to adulthood with little to no cost.  They will also share loads of supporting curricula so you can have your own monarch festivals.  Raising a monarch is a magic process, weaving one into the nature as one follows its journey from your own backyard 2000 miles to another country!

Attendees will be sent home with all the material you need, including eggs!

Please call (312) 744-5472 to register.
