WeDigBio, or Worldwide Engagement for Digitizing Biocollections, is a global event that engages participants online and onsite in digitizing natural history collections. You will be joining museums around the world as part of a global four day effort to digitize centuries of data about life on Earth. Organisms will include algae, ferns, early land plants, insects, field notebooks, fishes and fossil invertebrates. Participants will have an opportunity to meet Field Museum scientists and join in behind-the-scenes tours of the scientific collections.

This event will take place from Thursday, October 20, to Sunday, October 23. Each day there are two sessions: 8:30 am to noon, and 1 pm to 4:30 pm.

The Field Museum is excited to partner with Chicago Academy of Sciences / Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (CAS/PNNM) to bring WeDigBio to Chicago! This event is based at The Field Museum.
